The Nigeria Optometry Students' Association (NOSA) operates the student portal at this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

- Register for a student account (name, email address, institution, matriculation number)
- Register for or pay for events (payment is processed securely by Paystack — we do not store card details)
- Submit forms, contact us, or use the portal's features
We also automatically collect limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited to help us maintain and improve the portal.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your student account and membership record
- To process event registrations and payments
- To issue digital certificates and ID cards
- To send you announcements, newsletters, and updates relevant to NOSA activities
- To administer chapters and track academic/co-curricular engagement
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:
- Chapter administrators who manage your university branch
- Payment processors (Paystack) solely to complete transactions
- Regulatory authorities if required by Nigerian law

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.
