Christian Duru is a graduate of the renowned Imo State University, holding a Doctor of Optometry Degree (O.D). He is an author, eye-health advocate, and clinical researcher passionate about advancing vision care. During his undergraduate days, he served as the 6th Republic National President of the Nigerian Optometric Students Association. In 2014, He founded the Optometric Scholars Academic Forum (OSAF) and has made notable contributions to the field of optometry. In recognition of his active role in the profession, he was appointed Editor-in-Chief of EyeConnect Newsletter, the quarterly publication of the Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA). Christian is particularly interested in how digital innovation can improve eye care delivery, especially in underserved and developing communities
